Little change over the week to the snowpack which is at about 16.5” (42cm). Despite the vernal equinox arriving tomorrow, it feels very much like winter still, with cold overnight temperatures (-20°C this morning). Snowfall in January and February were well below the climate average, but March snowfall will be close to the norm. Snowmachines continue to be active on the lake. Bush hiking trails are well packed and easily navigated, as are frozen creeks and bogs. There has been little change to the snowpack in the bush. A pair of migrating trumpeter swans have been seen in the area. The gulls have not yet returned.
