Only the second "Severely Dry" entry I've ever made. D4 Exceptional Drought continues. Local water bodies are low. Wildlife remain active, but some songbirds are more sluggish than they should be. Bird bath active. Hummingbirds remain. Corn and soybean fields appear stunted, some being cut already, little productivity on the plants (spoken as a non-farmer but you get my drift). Lawn and potted plants require watering to stay green. Some pine trees are yellowing at branch ends. Significantly warmer than usual for this time of year.
