Although we received .22" of rain in the past week, and at the moment everything is damp, overall it is still quite dry. Approaching the end of the water year, we are well below the previous 4 years. Bone dry under the trees. Many plants turning color early and dropping their leaves. Local streams very low. At least it was cooler with some light rain the past few days, with low fire danger currently. Precip the last 2 months has been variable and spotty, with some areas getting lots, and other nearby areas, like here, getting very little.
