Even though drought conditions have remained a concern for several weeks now, it appears at least here at my station that soil moisture conditions are continuing to improve somewhat thanks to our recent rains. Our seven day storm total precipitation is 0.78 inches. Additional rainfall is expected later today into Sunday, and i am hopeful for a healthy storm total rainfall with this next couple of rounds of precipitation. Next, our plants seem to be responding to the increased moisture with our grass growing and our trees no longer have wilted leaves. Lastly, wildlife has been active with sightings of several birds and a Green Anole Lizard recently.
