For week of 21-27 April: (11.4+ 0+ 0+ 0+ 0+ 0+ 0)= 11.4mm Near Normal. High's: +6C to +15C; Low's: +3C to -4C; Winds: light Variable winds every day, kept the air temp chilly. Mornings: one with rain, one dry, two with dew, three with heavy frost. Water table is good. It is still very chilly for near the end of April. Some degree of wind every day. Too cool for gardening, but some yard work possible. The grass is greening well--so say the grazing deer, still in their winter coats. A flock of Robbins flew in. They're as big as Pigeons. Plenty of worms to feed on. Pheasants are noisy as ever. On the people side, many tourist-related businesses prepping for the coming season. Already saw one red double-decker bus on Peggy's Cove Rd. That's early. Local schools celebrated Earth Day with a full outdoor walk. Good walking weather. And, though we've had cooler temps, the NS Burn Ban map shows Yellow for all of Mainland NS (Burning only allowed 1900-0800, overnight).
