Station Name: Pascoag 0.5 SSW
Report Date: 4/27/2024
Submitted: 4/27/2024 7:12 AM
Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
With only 0.31” of rain this week, conditions are now near normal for late April. The Pascoag Reservoir is full and at 9’3” is still overflowing the spillway. We had to mow the lawn for the first time although only some sections really needed it. Leaves on trees are beginning to come out giving a spring green color to wooded areas. Summer birds are arriving including various swallows, etc. Summer perennials like hostas, day lilies and iris are growing fast and are 8”-12” tall now. Boats, jet skis and fishermen are regularly on the lake. George Washington state park fire danger is posted as Low and the RI Resources Board website shows no drought in the state.
