A quarter and two traces of precip received this week. County remains in the D0. Nice Lightning show around 3AM on the 30th. Spring crocus has started to pop out. Grass is growing and not being eaten as much as last week. Starting to look green, mowing may be needed sometime soon. Lilac and other trees are starting to bud and leaf out. Able to turn off Furnace until yesterday when temps went extreme low as opposed to the beautiful warm 70-80 degree days we had. 80s to 30s. Fire red flags were for a potential risk due to high winds and dry conditions. 12 counties in the state are currently under burn ban. Increase in birds and squirrels. Personal note, there is a squirrel that my dogs chased out of the back yard and is now terrorizing them from the non fenced in front yard. A few ladybugs or orange ladybugs were seen. Mice and deer increase witnessed around the area. Saw a bald eagle swoop down on the Cedar River and catch a nice early dinner. Outdoor Rec Activities are ramping up. Allergies are on the rise, I do believe this is due to dust and not pollen related yet. Overall Mood for the week and into next week is the risk for Severe Weather. Stay Weather Aware Everyone :):)
