[Two weeks Mon 3/17/25 – Sun 3/30/25, rural Central Oregon High Desert.] Spring weather activity has been very typical during this 2-week period, with the exception of warmer daily temps. Precip occurred the first 7 and the last day of the 14 days and totaled approx 0.5”. The approx 8.5” snowpack present the first day of the period was down to a trace in 7 days and entirely gone by the 10th day (Wed 3/26). Daytime high temps ranged from 39°F (Mon 3/17) to 76°F (Wed 3/25) and averaged 53°F, while daily low temps were in the mid -teens to low 30’s and averaged 25°F. The one advantage to these warmer than normal temps (both day and night) was lower heating needs, even overnight. Breezy conditions were limited to wind gusts below 27 mph here during the NWS High Wind Advisories and final Wind Advisory over the last 6 days this period. Flies, moths and spiders appeared outside (and in the house!) for the first time this season on the warmer days.
