Finally a good rain last week. Alarmingly, things are not turning around like anticipated. Greening up, but not taking off like normal. Dust already kicking up. Was too dry too long. Ark River higher around Rocky Ford, but very very low in La Junta. Kids were in the middle of it yesterday, playing on a sandbar and wading. Water level was below their knees. Promising to be hot and dry for quite a spell again.
