Did not have pad out. The hail began after the beginning of the rain. There was a large clap of thunder right before. The pea size hail began first for about 4 minutes. Then the 1/2 inch size hail began along with the pea size for 3 minutes. The 3/4 to 7/8 inch hail fell after the rain and smaller hail stopped. It fell intermittently for about 1.5 minutes. The sun was shining during the large hail. The hail covered the ground to a density of 1 pea size hail per 1 square inch. Pictures were taken. Rain fall total not counting melting hail was .20 inches. With the melted hail in the gauge, it totaled .23 inches. The storm moved directly east to west. |
