It was around 4:15 pm yesterday, more or less. It had not started raining long until the first part of the hail hit. It came fast and furious, but was very small, rice to pea size. Then it stopped for about 30 seconds. suddenly it was like the sky burst open and bigger hail started just thundering down. It was pea size to a few maybe small grape size. It stopped as suddenly as it started. Altogether it was maybe a couple minutes or three, with the starting and stopping. I didn't have a hail pad, but the hail was pretty thick and more like 1/8 to 3 inches apart. The smaller was closer together than the larger hail. There was quite a bit of smaller hail. There was not a lot of the larger hail. The smaller hail was pretty close together-a lot as close as 1/8 inch. Had we had a lot of it, it might have racked up like snow, but it came quick and short. The larger was farther apart, but there wasn't near as much of it and it was much quicker-1 to 3 inches apart. |
